Job Description – Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive will focus on driving business growth by visiting colleges,
universities, and educational institutions. The primary responsibility is to identify and collect leads, build
strong relationships with key stakeholders, and present the company’s products or services to potential
clients. This role requires fieldwork, direct interaction with decision-makers, and the ability to generate
sales opportunities from educational institutions.
Responsibilities:
● Regularly visit colleges and universities to promote the company’s services/products.

  • Meet with key stakeholders (administrators, faculty, department heads) to understand needs and
    present tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with academic leaders and decision-makers.
  • Identify and qualify leads through face-to-face meetings, cold calling, and networking.
  • Collect leads and manage follow-ups using CRM tools.
  • Track and report on sales and lead-generation progress.
  • Research industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market conditions to adapt strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on lead progress, pipeline status, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of interactions and follow-ups.
  • Represent the company at educational fairs and seminars to generate leads.
  • Organize events and presentations to increase brand visibility and interest. Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
    Experience: 0 – 2 years

  • Resolve Queries: Address any concerns or questions from prospective students and their
    families regarding programs, fees, schedules, and other details.
  • Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets related to call volume, lead
    conversion, and student enrollment.
    Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years experience in telecalling, customer service, or sales, preferably in the education
    sector, is an advantage.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of
    people.
  • Confidence & Attitude: A positive attitude, confidence while speaking, and the ability to handle
    objections and rejections gracefully.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with
    CRM software.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in [English/Hindi/Regional Language] is a must, with proficiency in
    additional languages considered an advantage.
  • Target-Oriented: Ability to meet and exceed performance goals and work under
    pressure.
